The Sven Lov¿n Centre for Marine Sciences
The Sven Lovén Centre for Marine Sciences is an organisation in the marine studies infrastructure at the University of Gothenburg. The Lovén Centre includes several ships and other smaller boats as well as two stations for research and education, located in unique environments on the west coast of Sweden: Kristineberg by the Gullmarsfjord and Tjärnö by the Kosterfjord. The Sven Lovén Centre for Marine Sciences brings together a range of research areas and groups of researchers both from the University of Gothenburg and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. The Lovén Centre is also open to guest researchers and course activity all year round.

The Lovén Centre is coordinating the EU Access programme ASSEMBLE. This programme that links 7 of Europe’s major marine laboratories provides grants for free access to our facilities.
